Where do I enter code PGVORW?
In the app, tap the gift icon, open Invite friends, then choose Enter referral code. On the web profile, use the gift icon at the lower left. Successful entry shows “Referral code applied.”
How do I sign up from my phone?
Copy the referral code, open the official Wealthsimple invite page, create your account, then sign in to the Wealthsimple app. Confirm the referral under the gift icon before qualifying funding arrives.
Can I enter the referral code on a computer?
Yes. Sign in at my.wealthsimple.com, select the gift icon near the lower left, choose “Got a referral code? Enter it here,” submit the six-character code, and look for confirmation.
How do I know the referral code was applied?
Wealthsimple displays “Referral code applied” after successful entry. You can also check Referral history. If the confirmation is missing, do not assume the referral worked, contact official support before the deadline.
Can I add the code after I already funded?
Yes, through self-serve entry if your first funding was within the last seven days. For a later request, contact Wealthsimple support. The official help page says approval cannot be guaranteed after 30 days.
Which accounts can receive qualifying funding?
The current terms list Trade, Crypto, Managed investing and Chequing promotion accounts. Joint accounts, RESPs and Spousal RRSPs require the referred person to be the primary holder.
What counts as external funding?
Examples include deposits from an external bank, transfers from another financial institution and eligible crypto transferred from an external wallet. The funding must be completed and processed within the promotion period.
What does not count toward the $100?
Internal transfers between Wealthsimple accounts, peer-to-peer transfers, promotional bonuses, group-plan contributions and affiliate distributions do not count under the current terms.
Is a $1 deposit enough in 2026?
No for a new referral relationship under the current terms. Public posts that still say $1 are describing an older version of the offer. The current minimum is at least $100 in qualifying external funding.
Do I need to buy a stock or crypto to qualify?
The current referral terms require qualifying external funding, not a trade or investment purchase. You can fund an eligible Trade, Crypto, Managed investing or Chequing account, but the account and funding must still meet every other rule.
Do I need a Wealthsimple Chequing account?
Yes for the current payout. The terms require an active primary-owner Chequing account in good standing. A bonus that cannot be applied to Chequing expires after 90 days and is not reissued, so open the account before relying on a payout.
Does an institutional transfer only need to be started by day 30?
No. The current terms say the funds must be received by Wealthsimple within 30 days after the referral relationship is established. An initiated or still-pending transfer is not enough, so start institutional transfers early.
What if my deposit is still processing?
The reward clock starts after qualifying funding is completed and processed, not when a transfer is merely initiated. Check the funding status and the 30-day deadline, then contact official support if processed funding has not triggered the reward.
Can I change a wrong referral code?
Usually not immediately. Wealthsimple says the relationship can be updated only if you have not funded and more than 30 days have passed since the wrong code was entered. If the $25 base bonus has already been paid, the relationship cannot be changed. Contact official support for account-specific help.
Does the person referring me need $100 too?
Yes under the current terms. At participation and payout, the referrer must have at least $100 in a Trade, Crypto, Managed investing or Chequing account, and that amount cannot come from an internal peer transfer or Wealthsimple bonus or credit.
Can I refer more than one friend?
Yes. Wealthsimple's current referral overview says there is no limit to the number of friends you can refer, but each person must be unique and independently satisfy the current eligibility and funding rules.
Can spouses or partners refer each other?
No. The current terms prohibit cross-referrals, which means two people cannot refer each other. Each qualifying referral must involve a different new client who independently meets the rules.
Does the referral bonus work in Quebec?
Yes. The current base referral terms apply to eligible Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory; Quebec is not excluded from this offer.
Which rules apply to referrals started before June 8, 2026?
Referral relationships created before June 8, 2026 follow the closed promotion terms. New relationships follow the current flat $25 offer. Check Referral history or contact support if you are unsure which version applies.
Why does a Wealthsimple help page mention an additional referral bonus?
The help article says it covers the 2026 offer and previous iterations, so some tiered-bonus wording remains. The legal terms updated July 9, 2026 list a flat $25 for each side on referral relationships created from June 8 onward. Those terms also say they control if related material conflicts. Older referral relationships may follow the closed tiered terms.
Does the qualifying $100 need to stay for 180 days?
The referral terms place the 180-day hold on the $25 bonus. They do not give the qualifying $100 the same referral hold. A separate promotion may have its own withdrawal rules.
When is the $25 paid?
The base bonus is normally deposited into an active Wealthsimple Chequing account within 24 hours after qualifying funding is completed and processed.
Can referral and transfer promotions stack?
The referral terms generally allow combination with other offers unless the other offer says otherwise. Register separately and follow both sets of terms.
Is a code from Reddit safe?
A code only identifies a referrer, but enter it only in the official Wealthsimple app or website. Never give a poster your password, ID, bank login, verification code or money.
Is Wealthsimple safe, and what does CIPF protect?
Wealthsimple Investments Inc. is regulated by CIRO and is a CIPF member. CIPF protection applies when a member firm becomes insolvent and client property is missing within the policy limits. It does not cover market losses, unsuitable investments or crypto price declines. Cash protection varies by product and structure, so review Wealthsimple's official safety explanation and the CIPF coverage guide.
What can the referrer see?
The referral instructions say the referrer can see the referred person's first name in Referral history, plus referral totals and reward progress, not your password or bank credentials.
Does the current referral bonus use TFSA contribution room?
The current $25 referral payout goes to Wealthsimple Chequing, not a TFSA. For an older bonus that was deposited into a registered account, Wealthsimple's help page says it may be reported to the CRA as a contribution. Check your own records and ask a tax professional if contribution room is tight.
Is the bonus taxable?
It can have tax implications. Wealthsimple says it does not issue a tax slip for bonuses paid to a non-registered account. Track registered-account contribution room and consult a tax professional for personal advice.
Does referral code PGVORW expire?
Do not assume a lifetime guarantee. Wealthsimple may change or withdraw the promotion. Check the official terms and the offer shown in your account before funding.
Is a promo code or invite code different?
For this base offer, people often use “promo code,” “invite code,” “signup code” and “referral code” for the same referral relationship. Wealthsimple uses a shareable referral link for automatic attribution or a six-character referral code for manual entry.
Is this an official Wealthsimple website?
No. WealthSmplReferral.ca is an independent site written by Yash Singla. It does not ask for a Wealthsimple password, banking credentials or identity documents. Signup happens only after you continue to wealthsimple.com.
Does using PGVORW guarantee the bonus?
No code can override eligibility or official terms. Code entry, qualifying external funding, timing, account status and the Chequing payout requirement all matter. Wealthsimple makes the final eligibility decision.
